ArchBishop Dr. Don Okafor Sr trained as an economist and statistician began his call to the ministry in 1999 when he founded Divine Touch (Deliverance) Ministries Botswana in Southern Africa. It was a small beginning, in the heart of the capital city of Gaborone, pastoring a small congregation of four members. Within three months, the number grew beyond one hundred and fifty, with two other branches within the country. In 2001 another branch was opened in Amsterdam - the Netherlands and yokes were broken and to God be the glory. In 2003, God moved Archbishop Don Okafor to Aberdeen, Scotland - United Kingdom, because of the need for deliverance and as God planned it, Divine Touch Ministries Worldwide was incorporated on 31st January 2005. Since then, God has raised Archbishop Don Okafor in Deliverance to bring change into people’s lives. In 2009, another branch was opened in Montgomery, Alabama - USA, because of prayer, healing, and deliverance.
Archbishop Don Okafor has traveled around the globe because of the need and demands of deliverance. Together with his wonderful wife, Pastor Bernadette, globally known as Mother General, he oversees Divine Touch Ministries Worldwide in Botswana-Southern Africa, Amsterdam-Netherlands, Aberdeen-Scotland, Enugu, Nigeria and Montgomery, Alabama - USA. Apart from operating in the fivefold ministries, Archbishop Don Okafor operates in healing with signs following. The City of Montgomery, Alabama also honored Archbishop Don Okafor with the 2014 Church Support Award. Based on such, the ‘Global Directory of "Who is Who" honored Archbishop Don Okafor as a Lifetime Member in the organization as well.
Archbishop Don Okafor is the author of Deliverance for the Saved 1, Deliverance for the Saved 2 and The Life of Joseph. In 2023, Archbishop Don Okafor started Divine Touch University, an Accredited University offered to students worldwide where they are prepared for practical ministry and leadership. In the same year, Archbishop Don started Goshen Ministers Fellowship Int. USA - College of Apostles, Archbishops and Bishops whose membership spread across five continents of the world.
